"My fellow JUians, I ask you:

"Do we really need each poll result listed in an individual article?

"Do we really need the Newest Articles part of the sidebar filled with &*^%#$ing poll results?!

"Express yourself! What do you have to say to these poll regurgitators?"

The question has been sent to the floor... We are awaiting the results... And here they are! The results are in!

        Dear Regurgitators:

42% I Don't Care
45% Shut the F--- Up
3% Just Go Away

I think people are entitled to post whatever they want. If you don't want to see it, don't read it. It's a free country... Besides, the post initiated a lively debate on more topics than who won and who lost. It initiated some important discussions about real issues and led one person to write a touching personal story about why they are supporting one candidate and not the other. If some or all of these things ends up helping some undecided voter to make up their mind as to who they will vote for...or encourages them to do additional research on the issues/candidates on their own, then my post did exactly what I intended it to do. I think that is a good thing for the democratic process. To the contrary, telling people to shut the F*@%k up and to go away doesn't really add anything constructive to the process. It only alienates and divides people.

Oh the irony.

Indeed, had a good chuckle on account of that one

Laughed a lot over this one, Gene -- and the sanctimonious comment from T-Bone was icing on the cake. Good Post!

Gene, you cold, callous, heartless person you. Don't you realize that lives depend on these polls? Surely they will affect the spin of the earth on its axis. They are fundamental, and we must have more of them. More I say! MORE!!!!!

You forgot to include the margin of error. With I Don't Care and Shut the F--- Up so close together, the margin of error can really make a difference.

Gene Nash:

It is interesting what polls are listed. The neocons list polls that favor their side, the liberals that favor their side, the middle wants to talk to each voter in the U.S. Hehehe. The funny part is, most made up their minds a month ago. What is left are the ones who will truly make the decision.

As a stock trader, I don't care who wins, I just want to know a week in advance.
