The random thoughts of a genius...er...gene nash.
and cut the cheesy music!
Published on March 2, 2005 By Gene Nash In Humor
So, I'm surfing around, and I happen upon this site that wants me to give them my email address (to start selling so I can get plenty good SPAM, sailor) in exchange for proof that ghosts exists.

"We have proof they exist!" the site screams.

I was screaming too -- with laughter. This is the banner they used to try and lure me into watching this terrifying evidence.

Um, guys, that is neither scary nor convincing me of anything other than you have a really bad eye for horror and a poor grasp of your audience.

Everytime I look at it I start to hear Benny Hill's theme music.

This is so cheesy even the grave markers are rolling their eyes.

(I condensed the banner some. Click here to see it in all its glory, but I really suggest you don't sign-up. It looks like serious SPAM bait to me.)

[Update: Special kudos to our very own KarmaGirl for taking one for the team and getting us the direct link to safely view the movie. See the article comments for the link and my opinion of the "proof."]

I filled in a bunch of fake stuff to get to the link.  It's pretty funny "proof".  Here is the link: http://www.wimp.com/proof/

It takes a bit of time to load, but worth it for the entertainment

Actually, the eyes look a little "Python-esque" to me.

Good call.

That would explain the blond hair in the pork rinds I was eating last week.

I haven't been this bummed since Kermit walked into that french restaurant "just to use the bathroom."

It's a 7.5=8 meg flash movie. It was better than I expected it to be. Some of it is kind of creepy. Of course, outside of any documentary evidence of where the pictures, video, and audio came from and how they were obtained none of it can be taken as evidence of anything. But Angela is right, it's entertaining. Especially if you're into this kind of stuff, like I am. It's like a 'net version of In Search Of.

But Benny's music is more fun. (And I really have to concentrate to call up Python's theme music, whereas Benny's came unbidden.)
